Get to know Curtis

Curtis Yee was born and raised in Makakilo.  He has been a licensed health insurance agent in Hawaii since 2006.  He began his Medicare insurance career as an Independent career agent for United HealthCare from 2006 to 2008.  In November 2008, Curtis started as an internal sales agent for Ohana Health Plan.  It is at Ohana Health Plan where Curtis expanded his knowledge base on Medicaid, customer service systems, network development and provider relations.  Wanting to be a true consultant to Medicare beneficiaries, Curtis became an independent broker with Premier Benefit Consultants in March of 2013.  For the past 3 years Curtis’ role at PBC Hawaii has changed from being a broker focused on sales to an operations manager focused on contracting, certifications, training, agent support and expanding the market for PBC’s agents.

Curtis has been happily married for 27 years.  Curtis has 2 sons and 2 grandchildren.  He is the President of the Board of Directors for Hawaii Families as Allies, a family based organization assisting parents with children that have emotional and/or behavioral challenges.  Curtis enjoys time with his family, traveling, reading, golfing and body boarding.
