Get to know Andy

Andy brings a strong educational background, a data-driven approach, and a lifelong connection to the values behind Premier Benefit Consultants. As an independent insurance agent with PBC, he provides Medicare beneficiaries and their families with knowledgeable and dependable guidance. He also serves as PBC’s Director of External Partnerships, managing relationships with outside agencies and agents who work with PBC to offer select insurance products.

Andy assists individuals throughout every stage of their Medicare journey, including those preparing to retire and transition from employer-sponsored coverage, people becoming eligible for Medicare for the first time, and current beneficiaries who want help understanding or reviewing their existing plans.

 

He recognizes that Medicare can feel complicated, especially when each person has different healthcare needs, priorities, and circumstances. Andy takes the time to listen, explain the available options clearly, and help each client make an informed decision based on their individual needs.

 

His commitment continues after enrollment. Andy remains available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide ongoing assistance as his clients’ healthcare needs or circumstances change. Complimentary consultations are available by appointment over the phone or through video conference.

 

Born and raised on Oʻahu, Andy attended ʻIolani School before graduating magna cum laude from Arizona State University with a bachelor’s degree in business law. He continued his education at the London School of Economics, where he studied data analysis. Andy believes strongly in combining sound business principles with data-driven insights to make thoughtful, informed decisions.

 

Andy’s connection to PBC began long before he officially joined the company. During his “hanabata days,” he spent many afternoons playing with Tonka trucks beneath the desks of his grandfather and father. Growing up at the feet of his elders, Andy learned at an early age the importance of being a man of his word and honoring every commitment he makes. He was taught that the Nakano promise is one people can rely on—values that remain at the heart of how he approaches his work today.

 

In addition to serving clients, Andy manages PBC’s relationships with outside agencies and independent agents who partner with the company to offer certain insurance products. His business knowledge, analytical perspective, and ability to build strong professional relationships help him support these partnerships effectively.

Andy is a highly valued member of the PBC family. His integrity, intelligence, and deep respect for the legacy built by the generations before him make him a trusted representative of the company. PBC has complete confidence in his ability to honor that legacy while contributing to the organization’s future.

 

Andy says he is “living the dream.” Returning home to Hawaiʻi, sharing life with family and friends, serving his community, and educating the kūpuna of the place he is blessed to call home have fulfilled a longtime dream. Outside of work, he enjoys the simple things in life—golfing, fishing, and cheering on the Rainbow Warriors football team.
