Aurea brings more than 30 years of insurance experience, a patient and attentive approach, and a genuine appreciation for the kūpuna she serves. As an independent agent with Premier Benefit Consultants, she helps individuals and families understand their Medicare options and make informed decisions with clarity and confidence.

Aurea assists individuals who are becoming eligible for Medicare, current beneficiaries who want help understanding or reviewing their existing coverage, and those preparing to retire and transition from employer-sponsored insurance. She also welcomes questions from family members, caregivers, guardians, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Medicare.

Recognizing that every person has different healthcare needs and circumstances, Aurea believes meaningful relationships begin with being fully present. She listens carefully and with an open mind, takes the time to answer questions thoroughly, and helps each client consider the options available to them. Her goal is for clients to leave every appointment feeling that their questions were answered and their best interests were carefully considered.

Aurea especially enjoys working with Medicare beneficiaries because she considers herself an old soul. She loves hearing her clients share their life stories and appreciates the wisdom and advice they sometimes offer in return. Growing up in a large family also taught her how to connect comfortably with people of all ages and backgrounds.

Her commitment continues after enrollment. Aurea remains available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide ongoing assistance as her clients’ healthcare needs or circumstances change. Her kind, patient, and thorough approach helps clients feel heard, respected, and supported.

Aurea began her insurance career in 1994, working with property, casualty, and life insurance. She expanded her professional knowledge to include health insurance in 2023. Her decades of industry experience have strengthened her attention to detail, commitment to service, and ability to guide people through important insurance decisions.

​

Born in Magsingal, Ilocos Sur, Philippines, Aurea moved to Hawaiʻi when she was one year old. Her father was born on Hawaiʻi Island, while her mother was born in the Philippines. Aurea is the sixth of seven children and grew up with five older brothers and one younger sister. Being part of such a large family helped shape her appreciation for strong relationships, attentive listening, and caring for others.

Aurea is a highly valued member of the PBC family. Her extensive insurance experience, sincere interest in others, and patient, low-pressure manner make her a trusted resource for Medicare beneficiaries and their families. PBC appreciates the kindness and thoroughness she brings to her work and has complete confidence in the attentive and dependable service she provides.

Aurea is a member of Metro Christian Church and participates in its women’s ministry group. Through the ministry, she gives back to the community by helping pack food for the Susannah Wesley Community Center’s food bank and collecting school supplies for distribution to elementary schools throughout the Kalihi area.

​

Outside of work, Aurea treasures time with her husband and their two children. She also enjoys painting and currently works primarily with palette knives and acrylics.
