Get to know Brian

Born and raised in Mililani back when it was still considered the “boonies,” Brian Ishisaka is a local boy through and through. He continues to live in Mililani near much of his family with Yueju, his beautiful and patient wife of 15 years. A Mililani High School graduate, Brian earned a degree in electronics technology and began his career repairing computers and fabricating diagnostic components for electric vehicles. He eventually realized, however, that his true passion was not fixing things—it was helping people.

That calling led Brian to work in public education, where he supported students with special needs, and later to his role as a Nutrition Educator with the University of Hawaiʻi’s EFNEP program. Through community outreach classes at schools and organizations across Oʻahu, he helps local families develop healthier habits and improve their quality of life. Brian and Yueju also dedicate more than 50 hours each month to volunteer work with their congregation, reflecting their shared commitment to faith, service, and community.

 

Brian found another meaningful way to serve others when he became a Medicare insurance agent. As he began learning about Medicare and encountered its many unfamiliar terms and acronyms, he gained an immediate appreciation for how confusing and intimidating the system can feel. That experience strengthened his desire to provide the patience, clarity, and support people need when making important healthcare decisions.

As an independent agent with Premier Benefit Consultants, Brian assists individuals with existing Medicare coverage, those becoming eligible for Medicare, and people preparing to retire and transition from employer-based coverage. He takes the time to explain the available options clearly and remains available to provide ongoing service after enrollment.
