Get to know Calvin

Calvin brings more than 40 years of insurance industry experience, extensive Medicare knowledge, and a patient and compassionate approach to helping others. As an independent agent with Premier Benefit Consultants, he provides individuals and families with knowledgeable guidance and dependable ongoing service throughout their Medicare journey.

Calvin assists individuals who are becoming eligible for Medicare, current beneficiaries who want help understanding or reviewing their existing coverage, and those preparing to retire and transition from employer-sponsored insurance. He also welcomes questions from family members, caregivers, guardians, employers, physicians, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Medicare.

 

Recognizing that Medicare can feel complicated, Calvin takes the time to listen carefully, explain the available options clearly, and help each client make an informed decision based on their individual healthcare needs and circumstances. His calm, reassuring manner helps people feel comfortable asking questions and confident that their concerns are understood.

 

Calvin’s commitment continues after enrollment. He remains available to answer questions, address concerns, and provide ongoing assistance as his clients’ healthcare needs or circumstances change. Complimentary consultations are available by appointment over the phone or through video conference.

 

Born in Kailua and raised in Waimānalo—lovingly known as “God’s Country”—Calvin is the second oldest of five siblings. He grew up surrounded by the strength of family, community, and aloha, values that continue to shape both his personal life and the way he serves his clients.

 

After graduating from college, Calvin began his career with the Paul Revere Insurance Group. What began as a job placement became 12 years of dedicated service in data entry, customer service, and office operations. When the company later downsized, Calvin used the transition as an opportunity to earn his insurance license and continue building his career in the industry.

 

Over the following decades, Calvin served clients through Prudential, Principal Financial, and Aflac supplemental health insurance before expanding his expertise into Medicare. His broad professional background has given him an in-depth understanding of insurance and strengthened his ability to guide people through important decisions with patience, clarity, and care.

 

Calvin’s life is deeply rooted in faith, service, and community. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and strives to live a humble, Christlike life while extending aloha to everyone he meets. He has also served as president of the Kailua chapter of BNI and treasurer of the Hawaiian Civic Club of Waimānalo.

Outside of work, Calvin treasures time with his ʻohana. He is happily married to his eternal best friend, whom he loves and adores. Although they were not blessed with children of their own, their beloved cat, Poko, fills their home with joy. Calvin also wholeheartedly embraces his role as an uncle, sharing plenty of love, laughter, and guidance with his nieces and nephews. Whether exploring Hawaiʻi’s natural beauty, enjoying a new adventure, or relaxing at home with a good movie, Calvin finds joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments.
