As a Premier Benefit Consultant agent, Calvin Malina is here to help you understand all of your health insurance options and to provide excellent ongoing service once he assists you to enroll into the plan of your choice.  Calvin offers guidance for individuals with existing Medicare health plans, those new to Medicare as well as those preparing to retire and transition from employer based health coverage to individual coverage.  Phone or video conferencing consultations are available by appointment and free of charge.  Whether you are a Medicare beneficiary, employer, physician, guardian or anyone looking to understand the complexities of Medicare, contact Calvin and he will gladly assist you.

 

Calvin was born and raised in Hawaii. The aloha spirit naturally overflows from Calvin’s warm and caring demeanor.  Included in Calvin’s demeanor is his fondness for animals.  One goal is to volunteer his services with the Honolulu Zoo.  Calvin appreciates Hawaii’s nature through kayaking, hiking, camping, and spending time with family and friends.  He holds an Associate’s Degree in Data Processing from the University of Hawaii at Kapiolani Community College and a Diploma from Cannon’s International Business College of Honolulu, and finance education from Hawaii Pacific University.  Calvin’s passion for aloha is to help people through his work as an independent insurance broker consultant.

 

His service to his clients and customers, assistance to agents and brokers from various insurance companies, and well-rounded scope of product knowledge, has proven him to be a Quality Team Leader for Paul Revere Insurance Group, Prudential Financial, Principal Financial Group, American Life Assurance Company of Columbus (Aflac), Premier Financial Alliance (PFA) and Premier Benefit Consultants (PBC).  After his 12 loyal years with Paul Revere Insurance Group, due to nationwide downsizing, Calvin realized the uncertainty of job security and the importance of planning financially for one’s unforeseen future.

 

Moving forward within the insurance industry, the next 4 combined years as an agent with Prudential Financial and Principal Financial Group have been stepping stones to his career with Aflac, PFA and PBC.   Calvin’s experience of 18 years with Aflac and 6 years with PFA in providing people with value in Supplemental Health plans and Life Insurance with Living Benefits, adds to his statement of an impressive history of longevity, loyalty and quality teamwork in the insurance field. 

 

In 2011, Calvin enhanced his portfolio of services by adding Medicare Advantage plans through Premier Benefit Consultants.  Calvin is excited to educate and share his expertise and aloha with Hawaii’s Kupuna, community of people and his new and existing clientele with current Medicare information and options. 

 

Calvin’s caring demeanor and leadership skills allows him to build strong and lasting relationships with brokers and customers alike, with an emphasis on superior customer service.  Having over 35 years of experience in the insurance industry, it is apparent that Calvin strives for excellence.
