Get to know Dillon
Dillon was born and raised in Honolulu as the only child of a hardworking single mother. Growing up in Kalihi, he was also greatly influenced by his grandparents. His grandfather, a second-generation Okinawan American and former pig farmer, and his grandmother, a Catholic Eucharistic minister, helped instill in him the importance of faith, hard work, integrity, and ʻohana. Dillon graduated from Maryknoll School in 2006.
Before beginning his insurance career, Dillon spent more than eight years working with children with special needs as an autism behavioral therapist for the Hawaiʻi Department of Education. His patience and ability to make complicated information easier to understand helped him excel in his work and remain deeply committed to the children he served.
Dillon earned his Hawaiʻi health insurance license in 2016 but was initially hesitant to leave a career that had been so meaningful to him. He began working as an insurance agent part-time and soon discovered another way to positively impact his community: helping Hawaiʻi’s Medicare beneficiaries better understand their healthcare coverage.
As an independent agent with Premier Benefit Consultants, Dillon assists individuals who are new to Medicare, currently enrolled in a Medicare plan, or preparing to retire and transition from employer-based coverage. He also welcomes questions from family members, guardians, employers, physicians, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Medicare. Complimentary consultations are available by appointment over the phone or through video conference.
Dillon understands how intimidating Medicare can feel, especially with its many options and annual changes. He takes the time to listen, simplify the information, and help each client make an informed decision based on their individual healthcare needs and circumstances. His goal is to provide the clarity, comfort, and confidence people deserve when making these important choices.
For Dillon, service does not end after enrollment. He remains available to answer questions, help clients understand their coverage, and provide ongoing support as their circumstances change. The close relationship he shared with his grandparents continues to influence the way he serves others. He sees a little of them in many of the kūpuna he meets and strives to treat every client with the same patience, empathy, and care he would want for his own ʻohana.
Dillon’s commitment to helping others extends beyond his work. He volunteers as a coach with Special Olympics Hawaiʻi and has served members of the homeless community through Punawai Rest Stop, River of Life Mission, and food banks and soup kitchens across Oʻahu. He has also worked closely with the Cancer Center of Hawaiʻi and Hawaiʻi Cancer Care, assisting their Medicare-eligible patients with compassion and understanding.
Dillon is a highly valued member of the PBC family and one of our agency’s wonderful success stories. Through hard work, continued growth, and a genuine desire to help others, he has developed into an accomplished agent and trusted resource for his clients. Smart, personable, and fun to work with, Dillon brings both professionalism and heart to our team. PBC is proud of the person and agent he has become and has complete confidence in the thoughtful, determined care he provides.
Outside of work, Dillon enjoys fishing, traveling, discovering new foods, and spending time with his family. He is also passionate about plants and gardening and takes great pride in his green thumb. Whether serving his clients or giving back to his community, Dillon approaches life with integrity, empathy, and genuine aloha.
