Get to know Gerald

Gerald brings decades of sales, marketing, leadership, and community-service experience to his work as an independent agent with Premier Benefit Consultants. His friendly, professional approach and ability to connect with people allow him to help individuals and families navigate Medicare with greater clarity and confidence.

 

Gerald assists people throughout every stage of their Medicare journey, including those preparing to retire and transition from employer-based coverage, individuals becoming eligible for Medicare for the first time, and current beneficiaries who want help understanding or reviewing their existing plans. He also welcomes questions from family members, guardians, employers, physicians, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Medicare.

His decision to become an agent grew from his own experience with Medicare. While preparing to enroll in his benefits, Gerald felt lost and confused by the many choices and details involved. He reached out to his friend Shawn Nakano, a principal of PBC, who helped him understand Medicare and select a Medicare Advantage plan suited to his needs.

​

That experience showed Gerald how valuable knowledgeable and patient guidance can be during an important healthcare transition. Inspired by his desire to provide that same support to others, he earned his Hawaiʻi insurance license in February 2024.

​

Gerald takes the time to listen, clearly explain the available options, and help each client make an informed decision based on their individual healthcare needs and circumstances. His service continues after enrollment, and he remains available whenever questions, concerns, or changes arise. Complimentary consultations are available by appointment over the phone or through video conference.

A graduate of Pearl City High School, Gerald earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Hawaiʻi. His accomplished career includes 27 years in sales and marketing with Kraft Foods in Hawaiʻi and on the mainland, three years in a leadership role with the Hawaiʻi Foodbank, and experience directing events for Star Events, a division of Oʻahu Publications.

Gerald has also remained active in the community through organizations including the Hawaiʻi Foodbank, Rotary Club of Ala Moana, and Hawaiʻi State Golf Association. His extensive professional background and commitment to service have strengthened his ability to communicate with people from all walks of life, understand their concerns, and guide them with patience and respect.

Gerald is a valued member of the PBC family. His maturity, diverse experience, and genuine desire to help others make him a trusted resource for Medicare beneficiaries and their families. Gerald resides in Makiki. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, staying fit, and sharing an occasional beverage with friends.​
