Get to know Sue
Sue brings warmth, compassion, and a genuine love for people to every client she serves. A highly respected member of the Premier Benefit Consultants family, she is loved by her clients, colleagues, and community for her kind heart, engaging personality, and sincere commitment to helping others.
Many people throughout Hawaiʻi may also recognize Sue as the former host of Cool for Kūpuna. Through the television series, she helped shine a light on local businesses, community organizations, inspiring individuals, and resources that enrich the lives of Hawaiʻi’s kūpuna. Her natural curiosity and ability to “talk story” made everyone she met feel comfortable, valued, and genuinely heard. The warmth viewers saw on screen is the same warmth she brings to every client relationship.
As an independent agent with PBC, Sue assists individuals who are becoming eligible for Medicare, current beneficiaries who want help understanding or reviewing their existing coverage, and those preparing to retire and transition from employer-based insurance. She also welcomes questions from family members, guardians, employers, physicians, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of Medicare.
Sue recognizes that Medicare can feel complicated and overwhelming. She takes the time to listen carefully, explain the available options in a clear and understandable way, and help each client make an informed decision based on their individual healthcare needs and circumstances. Complimentary consultations are available by appointment over the phone or through video conference.
Her care does not end after enrollment. Sue believes in going the extra mile and remaining available whenever questions, concerns, or changes arise. She considers it a privilege to serve Medicare beneficiaries and values the lasting relationships she develops with her clients and their families.
Born and raised between Kaimukī and Kāneʻohe, Sue graduated from Star of the Sea High School and attended Gonzaga University, where she studied Italian Studies. She spent 20 years away from the islands and built a diverse professional background that included travel industry management, sales and marketing, newspaper editing, professional development training, and human resources.
After researching Medicare in preparation for her own future retirement, Sue became a licensed health insurance agent in 2018. She quickly discovered how meaningful it was to help others understand their healthcare choices and approach Medicare with greater clarity and confidence.
Sue is a truly special member of the PBC family. Her intelligence, professionalism, and diverse experience are matched by her kindness, generosity, and genuine aloha for others. She has a remarkable ability to connect with people from all walks of life, and PBC is proud of the trust and admiration she has earned from clients, community members, and colleagues alike. We have complete confidence in the thoughtful, caring service she provides.
Outside of work, Sue teaches yoga and myofascial rolling classes and enjoys stand-up paddleboarding in Kāneʻohe Bay. She is a member of New Hope Hawaiʻi Kai and a contributing writer for Kāneʻohe Magazine. Whether she is serving a client, sharing a community story, or helping others improve their well-being, Sue brings enthusiasm, compassion, and a spirit of service to everything she does.
In Sue’s own words: “I am blessed with clients who trust me to help with their Medicare choices and grateful for the privilege to be their agent. Let me know how I can help you!”
